The attachments or joint prostheses consist of a fixed prosthesis and a removable prosthesis metal, forming part of the same design in a single arch, and joined together by an anchoring system called attachment. This type of prosthesis has several advantages over removable, for example giving more aesthetic to remove the arms of the retainer, which may be visible.
Friction is a retainer that has two parts, male or female or Patrix and matrix, and can be preformed pourable or metal alloy or cast-welding. The female snaps over the male in an intimate relationship thus producing the retention of the removable part on the fixed part of the joint prosthesis.
